Integrated into binoculars for the first time, the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ calculates the probability of a target being hit. Developed in cooperation with Applied Ballistics®, Shot Probability Analysis takes into account four parameters: distance, wind speed, rifle precision, and the muzzle velocity of the bullet. The result appears as a percentage in the field of view. This allows the hunter to quickly and safely decide whether to take the shot – an unprecedented level of safety.
Ballistics calculation up to maximum range
Thanks to easy transfer of individual ballistics profiles from the Leica Ballistics app, the Geovid Pro AB+ swiftly calculates the exact shot correction up to the maximum range. This is made possible by the integrated Applied Ballistics Elite® software, which uses sophisticated algorithms for maximum precision. For hunters who want uncompromising accuracy even at long distances.
Realistic and precise hit determination
Air pressure, temperature, and angle are automatically and precisely recorded by the environmental sensors and included in the calculations. The manual wind input, entered directly via the device or via the Leica Ballistics app, enables a precise lateral correction value, even in changeable weather conditions.
Precise angle correction for every position
Whether in steep mountains or on hilly terrain, the EHR function of the Geovid Pro AB+ calculates the true ballistic distance from hunter to game – anywhere from 10 meters to maximum range. The integrated angle sensor precisely measures the shooting angle and automatically adjusts the range to the equivalent horizontal range. In this way, the system enables a safe and ethical shot, even at extreme inclinations.
Precise navigation and target checks
Leica ProTrack (LPT™) saves the last five measured points and displays them via Google Maps or BaseMap. This way, the shot can be precisely localized and navigation is possible even in rough terrain and at dusk. The perfect aid when recovering shot game or when quickly and ethically searching for wounded game.
